In Mohammed V stadium on the 128th, “Casablanca Derby” between Archrivals Wydad and Raja ended with an unscoped attraction. Due to the strict regulations enforced by Maroccan authorities considering COVID-19 pandemic, the matchday 25 clash between the Moroccan League (Botola D1) was kept behind a closed door. Raja began the game leading the 48-point pack, with only five games left, one more than the Wydad rivals. Both sides were unable to dominate the first half because the two competitors were cautious and had much of the ball play in the centre of the game. It was a rare opportunity for Badie Aouk to discover Ayoub Amloud before the 35th minute, but Rajas long-serving goalkeeper Anas Zniti stopped the forward Wydad shot.

Raja reacted by Omar Arjoun, whose shot found Wydad goalkeeper Ahmed Tagnaouti warning 3 minutes later. Wydad struck, after the split, Aouk and Aymane Hasouni, but without any genuine menace in the defence of Raja. With no definite chance, Raja tried her luck for her last 15 minutes. The 79th-minute header of Ben Malango had just missed the mark in his second half’s best chance. The game ended in a rough halt that kept the title racing on both sides. Raja has 49 points in front of the tables, one in second place richer than Wydad. RS Berkane, who defeated FAR 2-1, is 3rd with 47 points and there are still 5 matchdays left.
