Seychelles began its vaccination campaign against coronavirus. Health Minister Peggy Vidot made the announcement which makes Seychelles one among the primary African countries to launch such an operation.

Among the first vaccinated citizens was the archipelago’s President Wavel Ramkalawan. This vaccine is the Chinese public laboratory Sinopharm vaccine established with the China National Biotec Group subsidiary Chinese (CNBG).

The United Arab Emirates donated Seychelles 50,000 doses. The whole population of the island of the Archipelago should be voluntarily vaccinated. The most recent estimate indicates that 420 people have been infected, including one death, with an average of 20 new infections per day since the start of the pandemic.

On Monday the Vaccines will apply to all medical professionals, people from key industries, and people over 65 before eventually getting to the majority of the people. After the country’s leaders, the vaccination will take place. Every day more than 1,000 individuals are to be vaccinated.
