Minnie Dlamini, a South African on-air personality will be walking the ramp at Paris Fashion Week in early March 2022, for Jessica Jane to show off her French-Xhosa Range. This is represented as a wonderful case of women supporting women in their career journeys, besides bringing South Africa on an international platform and making it proud.
Jessica’s collection for the Paris Fashion Week culminates the blend of culture and embraces racial differences from the past to the present. The invite for Paris Fashion Week and her collection is especially important to Jessica considering her multi-racial family, after falling in love and marrying Wandile Molebatsi, half Xhose, and half Tswana.
Jessica Jane who proudly embraces her heritage from Norway, France, England, and Scotland, still uses elements of these in her designs that flow flawlessly. However, with the addition of South African culture to her identity, she has expanded her fashion designer circle to women’s approach to traditional South African dresses. Jessica was mesmerized by the culture and gravitated towards the monochrome garments. Her collection at the Paris Fashion Week will show the French-Xhosa range, which will beautifully merge not just the designs but the essence of the culture.
