The pre-registered applicants numbered about 1,317 people, with females constituting about 41.7% and males about 58.3%. Almost 55.8% of applicants fall within the 25 to 35 years age group and 32.6% within the 20 to 25 years age group, while applicants aged between 35 and 40 constitute only about 11.6% of the total number of applicants.

It should be noted that the registration for the fellowship was closed on Monday 3/5/2021 at 11 a.m. The Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership is an example of south-south cooperation and one of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. Following the United Nations designation of 12 September of each year as the “United Nations Day for South-South Cooperation”, the 2nd Nasser Fellowship adopted the theme of “South-South cooperation” to increase and improve communication between developing countries, thus raising more awareness of common problems and increasing opportunities for exchanging knowledge and available experiences.
