The first group of students returning to their respective boarding schools departed from the Kigali Stadium in Nyamirambo. It happened on Thursday, October 29, at exactly 8:00 am. This move is part of the government’s plan to help the students to get buses. It is done so to facilitate them as they return to their respective schools to resume physical classrooms, the students expressed their joy as they returned to their schools after more than seven months of closure due to the pandemic.
According to the Ministry of Education, this move of returning back to school ended yesterday and today lessons are expected to begin. It is a part of the phased reopening, only students in the two candidate classes. The resumption of class sessions on Monday, are primary five and six students in all schools.
