South African teachers’ unions and government officials suggested their staff disobey the government orders regarding returning to work at schools as if they do not have any personal protective equipment to keep teachers and students safe.

South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa decided to reopen the country from June 1 after 2 months of lockdown as most of the sectors are drowning in losses.
